Just sittin’ here paging through the Sunday New York Times, sipping my coffee, reading about upcoming holiday movies…

“…WITH SEAN PERSAUD IN ‘MANK’” !!!!!!!!!
Happy Birthday, Sinéad!!! Thank you for making so many fabulous projects! It’s clear that you make things that you love, rather than trying to cater to anyone else, and by doing so, you’ve gathered an audience who relates to you. We’re so engaged and loyal because we feel seen by you and the rest of Shipwrecked. So thank you for inspiring us quirky literature/mystery/comedy-loving introverts and making us feel less alone in the world. Love you and wishing you all the best, today and every day <3
Enjoy a peek into the madness of @seanpersaud & @sineadpersaud‘s writing sessions over zoom as they work on our newest project during this quarantine time.
I loved this so so much on patreon, and now that some of it is out for everyone I love it so so much all over again.
I don’t even care about the show. (Okay; I lied. I care a lot about the show.) But this. This right here. The Persaud sibs waxing goofy via Zoom while they write it is The. Best. Thing.
Happy Technicolor Tuesday! Here you can see what some of our costumes, sets, and even makeup looked like in glorious color. All pictures by Christopher Higgins, except for the last one, which was taken by Brent Madison.
We enjoyed taking disposable camera pics on the set of Poe Party so much that we decided to do it again on Gilded Lily. Here are some that some of our lucky backers will be receiving along with their perks!
This past weekend we returned to Buffer Festival for the premiere of our new short film, The Case of the Gilded Lily.
We love Buffer because it celebrates great work on YouTube, and this year was no exception. We were delighted to cheer on our friends the Tin Can Brothers and their short, Idle Worship, as well as Whitney Avalon and her new music video, You’re Not Fooling Anyone, not to mention the many many other great videos that we enjoyed. We were pretty nervous about showing a 40-minute film to an audience that’s used to short YouTube videos, but Gilded Lily served up laughs from start to finish, and everyone in attendance truly seemed to enjoy it. We can’t wait to share it with you!
And now you can get not only those sweet Gilded Lily pins we wore on the red carpet, but Poe Party and Shipwrecked pins as well!Head on over to our merch store where you can purchase them individually or as a pack. And just a note for Gilded Lily backers: If you selected the pin add-on, you will be receiving one of these pins from us shortly, so no need to purchase that one if you have already!
Pour yourself an extra bowl of red herring soup, because Poe Party is representing at the IAWTV Awards on October 4th in Los Angeles!
We are so excited and honored that Edgar Allan Poe’s Murder Mystery Dinner Party has been nominated for EIGHT IAWTV (International Academy of Web Television) Awards: Best Directing (Comedy), Best Writing (Comedy), Best Cinematography, Best Costume Design, Original Music, Best Male Performance Comedy, Best Ensemble Comedy, and Best Comedic Series. Congrats to Sean, Sinead, Mary Kate, Sarah, Joe, Alex, Dylan, and the whole cast and crew!
Me: I began in 1809. I was born to a mother and a father in the dead of winter. And then what became dead was my mother. And then my father left because he couldn’t stand the sight of a baby with no hair – so I grew hair! And then I was adopted by a family named the Allans – just kidding, the didn’t adopt me they just gave me their name. And to make matters worse, we lived in Virginia. And, also, a bird was there.
