I don’t think as much so because Jasmine Cephas Jones is in her Maria Reynolds get up for the opening (at least as far as I can tell in the Grammy’s broadcast) so I think that’s just meant to be Eliza, Angelica, and Maria. I mean I feel like that’s open to interpretation enough to ship And Peggy! it if that’s someone’s thing, though.
How it rises out of waves in the bay and shudders like a gentle thrust of the sea, which sooner forgives than punishes, doomed as it is to feckless birth. How it wakes me up, takes me inside with a slender hand, with shimmering dust, gliding like a guess or premonition, up and up to the eyelashes, the eyebrows, the mouth and spilling across the face and over the ears, where the cries of gulls are caught. A hymn to the moment that lasts and lasts, so nothing belonging together will separate, like a boat that worries only about its arrival in the harbor, dropping its anchor next to a dock, so the story will reach the close it was meant to reach. And the sailor, once turned to a pillar of salt, will forever remain doubled over, where lobes of water linger like wedding guests years after the flood has folded back.

“In Camarillo, citizens aren’t shy about expressing their opinions. But on a chilly Wednesday night in December, city officials say one man stood out. For nearly three minutes, Prince Jordan Tyson is on camera telling city leaders what he later admits, is a lie. In fact, Tyson, who is not from Camarillo, is a self described struggling actor from Beverly Hills and he now believes he was involved in a secretive new industry where actors are hired to try and sway public officials. In this case, a construction project in Camarillo he says he was hired to criticize. “It was scripted, they told me what to say,” Tyson told NBC4. Some of those scripted lines, he says were provided by recent UCLA graduate Adam Swart, CEO of a company called Crowds on Demand, which will stage rallies and demonstrations for any almost candidate or cause. Swart says he has employed actors to sway city officials in meetings across the country. “I have worked with dozens of campaigns for state officials, and 2016 presidential candidates,” Swart told NBC4, adding that he won’t name any names.”
Tonight I had the opportunity to hear a speech by Brandon Stanton, and was fortunate to be able to ask him about this photo.
After In The Heights was on Broadway, and in the six year Lin had disappeared to work on Hamilton, Lin messaged Stanton on twitter, telling him that if he was ever in Washington Heights. Stanton didn’t know who he was, but kept it in his mind.
A little while later, Stanton was in Washington Heights, and in need of a Spanish Translator. So he messaged Lin on Twitter, seeing if he was around.
That was the day that Lin and his wife had returned with their son from the hospital, and that is the story behind the photo.
Stanton didn’t know who Lin was at the time, but he does now.

I hope my posting Casting Doubt gifs isn’t becoming bothersome. I think the series is hilarious, while saying something important that deserves to be said.
I also assume that Paula, by publicly calling this stuff out, is willingly placing herself in the path of extra helpings of online misogyny. This video she posted a couple of days ago seems like it might be evidence of that.
Casting Doubt is small and hasn’t found its audience yet. But like a child, that doesn’t mean it isn’t wonderful. I hope it gets the chance to grow and achieve its full potential, but in the meantime I’m just happy it exists.
I know, right? I’m really regretting replying to that initial comment. I never should have given this person the idea that their views want airing in any way, and especially around where I am. Urgh.
