Leg 2 Start

That was so much fun. The start was basically a circus, complete with clown car, when all the boats came into the third mark with 30+ knots of wind, then sailed into a hole and stopped right at the mark. First out of the clown car: SCA, yay! They moved from back to front by cutting back toward shore, sailing away from the next mark but toward the wind, catching it first and moving into the lead.

SCA dropped back a few positions as the boats rounded the final “departure” buoy and headed south, but then made a good call in another parking lot under the mountains and regained the lead as the sun was setting and the live coverage ended.

Can’t wait to see what happens next.
