so I watched Pride and Prejudice from 2005 and i’ve watched it like 10 times before but i’ve never seen this scene????

It’s the (kind of horrible, according to some) added ending that they put on the movie for U.S. distribution. Because apparently us ‘Murricans can’t accept the idea of a romantic movie that doesn’t end like the Fourth of July with a climactic burst of kissing.
Tonally it always bothered me, even before I found out it wasn’t in the British version.
