I can’t stop thinking about Upstream Color. I can’t. Yesterday I went out with a friend and got outlandishly drunk embarassingly early in the day. The very MOMENT I sobered up at all, I watched Upstream Color, totally silent. Shortly afterward I found an article describing the details of the film that escaped me a little. Today I started it up, just to see how it opened, because I couldn’t remember. But now I’m watching it again.
Do it the Rian Johnson way, buy it on iTunes, wait until it’s getting dark, set aside 96 minutes, turn off all your lights, your phone, your devices, everything. Go to the bathroom, get some water. Do not be interrupted. And do not read anything about the film before you do this.
Yeah, that’d be a good way to see it.
Just finished it. Not for everyone. But very much for people like me.
