Kaplan Defends Red America

Here’s a more-serious treatment of the issue of mocking those red-state voters, from someone (Lawrence Kaplan) who counsels that continuing to do so is the surest way for blue-staters to continue losing elections: Polls apart.

    So let me get this straight. We have to play nice with them, but they can go on sneering at us? We must hug them, while they continue to spit that we are foppish amoral latte-swilling intellectual Communist snobs? Yeah, I’ll get right on that.
