Tags: westworld, the way this played with my expectations, as someone who saw the original movie as a kid, was pretty cool, but style-wise and tone-wise it was so good, it was like improbably good, I've been used to thinking of tv as one thing, and movies as another, where the most deeply thoughtful, and complexly imagined stories, were pretty much reserved for movies, and tv was always at a certain level kind of vapid, but that world is gone.
