Tuesday, September 24th, 2013In a beautiful tribute to September 11th, NYC Ballet released a short film of their piece NEW BEGINNINGS on September 12th of this year. It was taped at “sunrise on the 57th floor of 4WTC in lower Manhattan,” NYC Ballet shares. “It is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit, and a tribute to the future of the city that New York City Ballet calls home,” they say.
The company states the piece is of Christopher Wheeldon’s ‘After the Rain.’ They also share their story of their September 11th experience, which you can read in their video bio. Really though, just stop everything and watch this.
