Saturday, October 26th, 2013I lived in Los Angeles from the age of ten (and really, from the age of two, if you count the eastern reaches of the sprawl). As an adult I escaped once, returned a few years later, then escaped again, hopefully for good. Looking at this image reminds me of all the contradictory feelings I have about it, but especially of the combined claustrophobia and agoraphobia, the sense of being hemmed in by an expanse with no visible edges.
