She was a very cool girl. She IS a very cool- she’s not dead. I mean, she’s dead to me.

tomthefanboy:

“One of the “Five Wives” named “Capable” is portrayed by Riley Keough, the daughter of Lisa Marie Presley and musician Danny Keough, as well as the eldest granddaughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley. She made her film debut via 2010’s “The Runaways”, a biographical drama based on the 1970s all-girl rock band of the same name. She also portrayed a stripper in the original “Magic Mike” movie. She then began dating her “Magic Mike” co-star Alex Pettyfer and became briefly engaged to him.

On 14th August 2014, the actress took to Facebook to announce her engagement to Ben Smith-Petersen, a stuntman who portrays Coma the Doof Warrior aka the blind guitarist (played by Sean Hape) as seen in Miller’s movie. The 2 met on set of “Mad Max: Fury Road”, which began filming in 2012.

Is it okay if I pretend these two goofballs are Lily and James?…

Saturday, September 13th, 2014

Is it okay if I pretend these two goofballs are Lily and James? Because look: it’s James’s cassette-tape phone (which I realize is just Sean’s actual phone). And I know they’re going to be different characters and it will be fun and its own thing and all.

But just in the meantime.

On Day 3 of production on I Ship It | #WORTHIT

I really, really, really like the footage from Day 3. Sure, there were the usual logistical curveballs like FilmLA location fees + breaking in a brand new steadicam rig + trying to get a 1960’s vintage bike to set when all our crew cars were packed with gear and crafty and wardrobe. But when I look at our pretty pretty pretty footage from the day, that all somehow melts away and I can’t wait to crack into the edit. This is a short post because suddenly it’s 3:10am and crew call for Day 4 is in less than 6 hours what yay okay.

Massive props to our hardworking cast and crew for powering through a 12-hour day in 90+ degree weather and looking good doing it. Particular props go to Sean Persaud and Mary Kate Wiles, who are always a blast to direct separately and then somehow repeatedly manage to kick it to 11 whenever I work with them together. Also a huge thanks to Valerie Chiang (ninebagatelles on Tumblr and Instagram) and Chris Higgins for taking some gorgeous BTS stills today that will be going up here and on my Facebook Page soon (though realistically probably after we wrap. Sigh.)

Day 4 tomorrow is a bedroom interior – I’m pretty excited about it, not only because hey! No film permits required! But also because living space interiors are really a time for production design to shine, and we have some fun things planned in terms of PD for this film (Jen and I are playing around with our usual PD aesthetic in slightly different ways this time around).

Day 2 photo recap is postponed as the footage is currently with our editor and I didn’t get screencaps in time!

Much love,

I was already really excited about this but now, once again, I am reminded that California really looks a lot like home and even though this isn’t set in Australia it will probably feel a little like it is and that’s kind of nice.
