Did you write it using the Tumblr mobile app? Because it routinely just deletes long posts silently when you try to publish them, rather than actually posting them.
I’m not sure what the exact circumstances are under which it occurs. But I’m gradually accumulating a database of unfortunate experiences of it (along with a habit of copy-and-pasting the whole post to a notepad note prior to attempting to post it), so maybe at some point I’ll figure out what specific actions cause it, so I can avoid them.
Or, you know, the 733t app coderz at Tumblr could fix it. That’d work, too.
