We have a cast announcement to make! We recently learned that Melissa Hunter would not be able to join us for the dinner party as she was presented with an amazing job that has whisked her away to NYC for quite some time. We are so excited for her and are looking forward to working with her on a future project.
In light of that, we are excited to announce our new Mary Shelley, whom we hope you will welcome to the Poe Party…
Whitney Avalon! You might recognize Whitney from her wildly successful Princess Rap Battle series, or from her appearances on Jane the Virgin, Days of Our Lives, The Big Bang Theory, and more. We are so excited to have her on board and know she will terrify and delight as the mistress of horror!
If you chose Melissa’s poster as your signed poster reward from the Kickstarter, never fear! You can still get her poster (and it will be signed!) if you like. However, if you would like to receive Whitney’s poster instead, please send us a message via Kickstarter to let us know. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to add her poster as an option on BackerKit at this point, but if you message us and let us know you’d like to change your selection, we’ll make a note of it and send you the correct poster. Or if you would like a different poster altogether, you have until June to change your mind.
I’m a little bummed about losing Melissa, but more than compensated by knowing that she’s getting the kind of opportunity she deserves. And it speaks to the awesomeness of Poeparty that they have to deal with a problem like this: Of COURSE they run the risk of losing people to big projects. Because their cast is AMAZING!
