“The world’s like all TV planets on at the same time, so I don’t know which way to look and listen. There’s doors and… more doors. And behind all the doors, there’s another inside, and another outside. And things happen, happen, happening. It never stops.”

Tags: yay!, I've seen all the Best Picture nominees, this is the one that affected me the most, but I don't hand out oscars, apparently the smart money is on the revenant, or just possibly fury road, or spotlight, eh, it doesn't matter, in order of where I would rank them, top to bottom, room was an important picture that mattered, fury road was a great achievement, the revenant was very very pretty to look at, and will apparently get leo an oscar, which is nice for him, since he so visibly was aching for it in every shot, esp. the final one, note: slight element of sarcasm there, brooklyn was a lovely swirl of acting and color and shippiness, the big short was interesting and sometimes funny, spotlight was cool, but it felt like watching a procedural on tv, bridge of spies was fine, but not great as a movie, v. good tom hanks acting, and smaller amounts of even better mark rylance acting, the martian was a good adaptation of a cool book I liked, but wasn't as emotionally involving a movie for me as any of my top four, and didn't have the relevance/importance of the others.
