Giant swallowtails (Pipilio cresphontes, the largest butterfly in the U.S.) have been hanging around the orange tree in our backyard lately. Last Saturday I took some video of one with my phone, and only realized when I looked at the video today that it shows the butterfly laying an egg. So I took a look at the leaf in question, and sure enough; the egg was still there.
