I saw Mad Max for the third time

still-not-a-phase:

It honestly is just as good as it was the first time. Of course without me flipping out of my seat and holding on for dear life every second. It really is a quality movie and the more I think about it and research into it, the more respect I have for it.

Like, aside from the fact that it was all practical effects, no green screen and minimal CGI in a time where every movie is either mo-cap or full on CGI. It really does stand out and is a perfect blend of traditional film making paired with the new technology that make it easier to do the crazy things they actually put together for this movie.

AND GEORGE MILLER WANTED TO MAKE IT BLACK AND WHITE?!? Yes yes and even more yes. Apparently, the Blu-ray will have a silent and a black and white version because Miller is all about film as a visual medium, where you should be able to follow the story without being told everything that is happening. And just imagine all the dusty, high contrast loveliness that would come of a black and white Mad Max…
