In Honor of Seeing It for the Third Time: Fury Road Headcanons

glamourweaver:

-Furiosa’s mother died at Immortan Joe’s hands because she was taken for his harem and she continuously fought back.

-I think this part was meant to be understood – but Furiosa herself was spared the harem (despite having the looks of Charlize Theron) because of her left arm.  Joe was trying to breed what he considered “perfect” children.

– Miss Giddy (the old woman who cared for the harem) payed special attention to Furiosa’s upbringing out of responsibility to her mother, and was the go between for Furiosa and Splendid Angharad (Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, the lead wife)

– Toast the Knowing (Zoe Cravitz, the black woman with the short hair cut)  will study military tactics and weaponry under Furiosa, becoming a soldier in defense of the Citadel, and the two will end up a romantic relationship.

– Capable (Riley Keough, the red head) with her compassion for the War Boys, seeing them as as exploited as she was, will take a special interest in their care and through them become a super-skilled mechanic, eventually overseeing the Citadel’s autoshop.

– The Dag (Abbey Lee, the surviving blonde) will obviously join the hydroponic farmers, with the seeds left to her.    She will prove to have a natural gift, which the Keeper saw in her.  She gives birth to twins: Angharad and Nox in a few months (Capable cries when she learns the boy’s name).  They each have only one eye, and Angharad has 2 extra fingers on each hand – they are perfect.

– Cheedo the Fragile (Courtney Eaton, the brunette Bride who briefly tried to go back, and later faked out Rictus), takes on Miss Giddy’s old role, without the imprisoned harem part.  Specifically she finds happiness caring for children and pregnant mothers.  With training from the surviving Vuvalini, she becomes a skilled midwife, and teacher to children, initially starting with her “niece” and “nephew” Angharad and Nox, but soon including many other children from the citadel and beneath it.

– As long as he doesn’t conspire against the “new regime”, Corpus Colossus (Quentin Kenihan, Immortan Joe’s little-person son) will remain as part of the new ruling council, his expertise about the water supplies and pumps being invaluable.  He becomes something of a hated figure by the general public, as he is blamed whenever water needs to be rationed.  He accepts this role, earning closer trust and gratitude from Furiosa and her allies.  While the luxuries of the elite ruling over the oppressed are gone in Furiosa’s reign (the governing council get their water rationed FIRST), Colossus eventually finds his relative station has increased with her council over his father’s disdain for his “deformed disappointments”.

– A brief conflict ensues with Gas-Town and the Bullet Farm (both of which had strong military forces left behind with commanders ready to assume command when their leaders failed to return).  Not expecting Furiosa’s defenses to hold as well as they do – they realize a prolonged siege turns on its head, as the Citadel has food and water to hold out comfortably, while they desperately need said water.  The entire debacle turns into a embarrassing clusterfuck for the two cities as they are forced to accept trade arrangements even more generous to the Citadel to end the conflict.  For her part Furiosa promises to do nothing to aid rebellion in their holdings (though refuge to those who make it into hers stand).
