Unless I’ve missed some, so far we’ve had: Oscar Wilde / The Picture of Dorian Gray, George Elliot / Middlemarch, Earnest Hemingway / The Garden of Eden, and Emily Dickinson / That it will never come again.

The individual quotes are all sort of pithy commentaries on life or specific emotions (fear, happiness, loneliness). I’m not sure I’m getting much of a common theme beyond that.

I’m thinking maybe something sort of like the Poe stuff, where we get classic literary characters or authors doing comic versions of themselves.
