Interesting. Now we have two quotations from classic novels on successive days from Shipwrecked. Different authors, different genres. Both were originally published in serialized form in the latter half of the 1800s (meaning they are out of copyright, which is maybe a factor).

I have a very poor track record when it comes to trying to figure out what they’re up to based on their clues, so I’m just going to stop right now. I’ll probably keep thinking about it off and on, though.
