I actually always liked this one.

It’s also fabulous, and I thought of it when I wrote my comment above. What tipped me over to choosing “Our baby is a rabbit?!?” is that I remember reading it in my morning paper when it first appeared, sitting in our little breakfast nook (where, come to think of it, I was sitting at the exact same circular butcher-block table that serves as my non-egronomic computer desk today, such that I’m typing on it this very moment) on a lazy Sunday morning in the Before Time. I remember the sense of confusion, followed by joy and wonder, when I realized what was going on.

I also remember reading the Calvin-as-doctor one. For some reason I missed Wonga-Taa on the first go-round, or at least it didn’t imprint itself on me as strongly as the other two. I had to get to the “Calvin and Hobbes bedtime reading” stage before I discovered and learned to love that one.

So yeah, I totally respect your choice. The other one just has that extra personal history for me.
