Tags: also, rewatched this again a few weeks ago, I was curious if I'd still love it as much, i know people whose opinions I generally respsect who dislike it, but nope, not me, loved it even more, it made me think harder about scarlett as an actor, because there's this conventional wisome i've heard from some detractors, that she can only play one character, and i think that's unfair, and watching this movie again reminded me that there are two sides to the question of how demanding her acting roles are, there's what she's capable of doing, and there's what the movie/script/director/hollywood machine asks her to do, among other scenes in lit, the one of her on the phone to her friend/family member, breaks my heart, and that's all her.
