I have been driving in Los Angeles since I could drive, which is about 36 years now. During many of those years I was driving a lot; like, 3+ hours per day. When I total it up, that is a meaningful amount of time spent doing something solely intended to get me from something I was doing to something else I wanted to be doing.
That time in the middle, though; what was that?
A: My life. A substantial part of my life.
