I’m just calling them shorts/adaptations. Whatever works! While I was editing the bubbles footage, I had an epiphany that marykatewiles and seanpersaud are live-action Ariel and Eric. I must find a way to put this knowledge to use somehow.
One (very minor) aspect of what I love about this video is that at times they’re walking through a plant community I know really well, southern California’s coastal sage scrub. I’m not sure, but it looks like there’s some coyote brush (Baccharis pilularis) in some of these gifs.
I have a crush on that plant. When I do docent tours at the marsh I have to make a conscious effort to limit how much I talk about it.
