i miss: british robins (american ones are basically thrushes with a bit of faded reddish brown on the front, and don’t like people), MAGPIES this entire side of the continent has none, the concept of rooks (it’s either a crow, a raven, or a chess piece here), and while i’m at it, christmas pudding and crackers (tho these are sometimes available at an utterly exorbitant price but they do not understand cracker prizes AT ALL).European Robins are adorable. And also BAMFs of a very high order.
