Capybara threesome

This is backstage during the jane eyre remake.  the wee birds (huh, not shrikes, but what are they? Lies? anonsally?) are prepping Rochester for the wedding.  you can see he’s doing method acting, since his attitude is one of crazy crazy.

Tiny feathered dinosaurs on a moose!

I don’t have any special expertise with South American birds, so take this with a grain of salt. But this account of capybara ecology mentions a number of mutualist bird species that associate with them, including one that looks kind of similar, the rufous hornero (Rurnarius rufus). The eye stripe on these birds doesn’t match the rufous hornero, but a related bird, the band-tailed hornero (Furnarius figulus) looks like a pretty good match.

So if I had to make a guess, I’d say band-tailed hornero. But if someone who actually knows South American birds disagrees with me, believe them and not me.
