Everyone ready?
I’m thinking of giving this a try. I’ve written a book before (nonfiction), and before that a memoir that was mostly finished but that never sold (and is probably unsellable). And I wrote a screenplay because everyone in L.A. has to have written a screenplay. But all that was a while ago. I’ve been wanting to work on a new writing project longer than a blog post — longer even than one of my blog posts, and this seems like a good way to get that accomplished.
I always felt kind of inadequate in the face of the demands of a novel. But there’s another side of me that has been getting more into fiction lately, and wondering well, why not? And honestly, the influence of a lot of really creative, wonderful people I follow on Tumblr has been part of that.
So. We’ll see.
