Godspeed You! Black Emperor – Behemoth, live in Boston 10/1/12 (download the whole show here)
“Behemoth” is a new anthemic 30+ minute (this version is 44 minutes long) piece GYBE has been trying out live. The first and last “movements” are especially strong, though I admit I visited the merch table on my second night’s experience of the central drone section.
I have two tickets to tonight’s sold-out GY!BE show at the Fonda Theater in Hollywood, but can only use one of them. Posting here on the off chance someone follows me on Tumblr (or reads lies.com) and would like to see the show. If so, let me know and the ticket’s yours.
First come first served. Also, you have to be fast enough to beat me unloading it for cost on StubHub, which is probably the next thing I’m going to do if no one contacts me in the next few hours.
I’ve never seen them live, and am really looking forward to it. :-)
