Vincent Van Gogh – Blossoming Almond Tree
This is one of my favorite paintings. When I was in Amsterdam several years ago, I visited the Van Gogh museum because I felt like I ought to, even though I didn’t think I really liked his art that much. It’s an excellent museum: by the time I left, I had completely changed my mind about Van Gogh! Anyway, this was my favorite painting in the museum. I stood in front of it for ages and was nearly brought to tears by it.
