i think she is quite good most of the time, esp w/ comedic stuff and less so perhaps when it comes to emotional things
I have a hard time remembering Kristen Stewart convey any emotion besides vaguely puzzled angst (though admittedly, I’ve missed a lot of her work). Ashley, on the other hand, has shown a wide range of convincingly acted emotions while performing a ridiculous amount of script (something like 50 pages in a typical shooting day, I think I’ve seen) with just a couple of days’ preparation, over and over throughout the life of the show.
I actually didn’t pay much attention to Ashley in today’s episode; I was kind of obsessed with watching Laura’s Jane. But if today’s performance by Ashley did fall short (which I’m not agreeing to, just conceding it as a possibility), I think she’s earned a little slack.

ASHLEY is nowhere near as bad as kristen stewart who i quite agree is…not cringeworthy bad at BEST.
ha ashley is generally rather good tho, more convincing at comedy imo

Oh, crap. My apologies. I was trying to agree with your response, but see in hindsight that I didn’t actually say that. I was disagreeing with the original post.
