Additional Details on the ‘Go Fuck Yourself, Mr. Cheney’ Story
I didn’t link to it before (so many stories, so little time), but you’ve probably already heard about how, during Dick Cheney’s tour of the Katrina damage the other day, someone shouted out, “Go fuck yourself, Mr. Cheney,” prompting a reporter to ask Cheney the delicious question, “Do you hear that a lot?”
Heh.
Anyway, here’s the video from Norm of Onegoodmove: Go fuck yourself Mr. Cheney.
And here’s the reason I’m actually posting it now: Ben Marble, the guy who did the shouting, is holding an eBay auction to sell video of the event: DVD of me saying “GO **** YOURSELF” to DICK CHENEY.

Update: Links fixed, per comments by Sven. Thanks. I’m not sure what happened with the OpEdNews.com link; that was probably my error. In the case of eBay, they apparently have (twice, now) deleted the auction because of people complaining about it, or something. But the link above currently works.
Later update: And now the eBay link has been fixed yet again. That makes at least 3 times, by my count, that they’ve killed the auction, apparently without telling the guy why. Makes me wonder what their specific objection is.

I heard about this story. I think its hilarious. Not only did this guy lose his home in Louisisana, Cheney showed up. I guess the guy figured he had nothing left to lose. Shouts the words at a “meet and greet” for the hurricane. The SS took him away… COMEDY!

Amazingly the eBay auction is already up over $1000! The link seems to have changed, however. I found a working link to the auction at the “Hurricane Katrina sucked!” link.

I also had trouble following the last link that apparently said he was detained and cuffed by Cheney’s M-16 carrying Goons? The link didn’t seem to work correctly for me, but according to Marble’s website:
“i calmly walked away bc it seemed the secret service was about to tackle me and waved at the guy who patted me down and said ‘have a nice day'”

I remember watching that live on TV when it ahppend and my roomate and I almost fell off the couch laughing. It was so funny how he called him that but still had the respect to call him “Mr.”.
Though I think it would have sounded even better if he would have called him by his name tather than Mr, “Go f*ck yourself, Dick !”

Go Fu** Yourself Mr. Cheney UPDATE….
Well the story has received an overwhelming amount of
global mass media coverage on a global scale including
but not limited to Time, Newsweek, Harpers, The Daily
Show, Good Morning America, Letterman, CNN, MSNBC,
Hustler,etc. Rolling Stone even called it the “BEST
TELEVISED SOUND BITE OF THE YEAR”. Our website
http://www.hurricanekatrinasucked.com has had over 900,000
hits as of yesterday. I have received approx. 4000
emails 95% of which have been supportive. I recently
wrote and recorded the dR. O tune ‘GO FU** YOURSELF
MR. CHENEY’ and managed to produce a video for the
same. And the video we shot OURSELVES is taking the
internet by storm with thousands of downloads a day
and that pace is still rapidly growin and so I wonder
have you had a chance to watch OUR video yet???? this
is NOT the 30 second cnn/msnbc video that has been
circulation the web…this is over 30 minutes of
footage we shot ourselves on the day of my encounter
with The Dick that I had auctioned off on EVILBAY.

In mid Sept. I had announced that I will be donating
50% of the profits from the EBAY auctions/ sales at
http://www.cafepress.com/benmarblemd to my life long friend
Jay Scully who was the actual cameraman on the day I
ran into The Dick. He and his wife both lost their
jobs due to the storm and they recently had a
premature infant born at 24 weeks who was just finally
allowed to come home i.e. they need help. The other
50% will be donated to the SALVATION ARMY since my
grandmother worked for them for several decades. (I am
not keeping any of it to take away the right wings
ammo in their criticism that I am trying to profit off
of the misery of Katrina even though I did lose my
home and my studio).
I will also be working on trying to make a movie about
Katrina and the aftermath. I have shot about 15 30
minute mini-dvd’s of video starting just before
Katrina hit and I will eventually edit that down into
a film.
My rock bands Yoon ( http://www.myspace.com/yoon ) and dR. O
( http://www.myspace.com/odro ) have received a ton of
positive feedback and I am in the process of trying to
see about getting some ‘press kits’ to the ‘right
people’ and setting up some gigs in Los Angeles and
New York.

planning on making a ‘made for tv movie’ out of all
