How to Get Bush to Debate Kerry

Kerry keeps talking about wanting to debate Bush early and often. Bush keeps ducking the challenge, for obvious reasons. But Lead Balloons over at Bad Attitudes suggests that Kerry might be able to get Bush to go for it if he says Bush can bring Cheney with him; i.e., Kerry will debate both of them at once.

Balloons actually suggested that a couple of weeks ago, but I missed it then. He also suggests, more recently, an alternative approach Kerry can take: offering to debate Cheney instead of Bush. That one works, too, though in a different way.

If he did it jokingly, during a Letterman appearance, say, he could get it out there without having to look like he’s beating up on Bush. That assumes Kerry has a sense of humor and can tell a joke, something I’m not sure I’ve seen him do, so maybe he can’t or won’t. But it’s a cute idea, at least.

    That’s a damn great idea. It works as satire, criticism, and honest suggestion at the same time. If Bush accepts, Kerry gets his debate which is good. If Bush refuses, Kerry gets to make a good point about accountability to the public.

    I have been looking for the ORIGINAL LIES…Can you provide the lies that Bush made while campaigning for the 2000 Supreme Court selection?

    That would make a great comparison article on what he said and WHAT HE DID!

    George Bush can’t come close to John Kerry’s height of intelligance, I can’t wait to hear the debates. I just hope that JFK can make him look like the bumbling idiot he truly is. I also hope that the U.S. doesn’t have enough “idiot’s” to flush us down the toilet for another 4 years.

    Ya don’t need to be a SMART DOUBLE TALKER, you need to have the guts and the fortitude to stand strong in your convictions.

    Kerry= Shower Shoes
    Bush = Is/Does stand behind his words, and puts foot to ass.

    Kerry wants a BIG HUG from the world.

    >Kerry wants a BIG HUG from the world.< No he doesn't. He wants fame and even more fortune like most of the dopes in D.C.. How's he gonna get it - well by snowing abunch of folks witht he same tired promises that NO ONE ON EITHER SIDE has done a dang thing about for the past 30 or so years! He's one of those RICH democrats that 'represents' the little guy (represent - no one said anything about actually helping them). Notice he nevers offewrs an actual solution - all he'll do is tell you how bad the Republicans/Bush have supposedly screwed up. No detailed plan on how to fix things mind you, just that we need change for change's sake. He has no clue any more than any other candidate that hasn;t actually held the psoition does. At a time like this I'd rather have someone with some experience at the helm surrounded by some other strong folks. It's also interesting that those who scream for justice are the first to complain when it's metered out. It'll be a close election again I just wish the Right would stop just nodding and sighing at the Left's lies and personal attacks. Sometimes it would seem that being the 'better person' doesn't have the best results. It has been proven time and time again that a good chunk of this country is sheep (only half at best vote anyway) so it's important not to just let mistruths and erroneous statements hang out there as people will believe them if they're not strongly and swiftly slapped down. There should be a law about using the phrase (the American people want). It's nowhere near accurate as half of them won;t tell you what they think by voting anyway - that's why I laugh when they talk about the popular vote in the last election just over half of the half = (1/4) that actually had an opinion voted - how is that the "choice of the American people" being circumnavigated especially since it was all done based on Law! You know that Law stuff that preety much all of the Democrat leaders studied (so they would know how to get someone elses fruits redistributed) while the majority of Republican leaders where learning how to produce something and make it in the world through their own efforts and our industry. Very telling how the Right says donate if you want to help others and the Left says the Law needs to force you to give yours to someone else.
