Congratulations President Obama!
I for one welcome our new crypto-islamoid, neo-marxist commie, oath of office mangling lizard people overlords. Heck, they couldn’t do worse than that last bunch!

Ted Kennedy apparently collapsed and had to be taken to the hospital soon after the inauguration. I always figured that if a black man were ever elected President, old white guys would immediately start keeling over, I just never thought Ted Kennedy would be the first one.
Have you checked on your dad today? Maybe you should call him and make sure he’s okay.

My question to that logic is always “why not”? But not today, this is your day, congradulations.

What, no outrage over Timothy Geithner being nominated to oversee the IRS after he screwed up his own taxes and hired an illegal housekeeper? Poor Linda Chavez has to be shaking her head in disgust.

Thanks for waiting a day, ; ). That guy does seem like a clown. What’s kind of funny is that people seem to be saying ‘Yeah, that guy’s a clown, and I would have been arrested for that, but given the circumstances, he’s a good choice.’ By people I mean the guy on CNBC.

So let me see, Geithner (who I know next to nothing about) cleaned up some back taxes that were in error because he used TurboTax? And had a housekeeper who had a lapsed immigration status for the last three months of her employment.
Wow, the threshold for being a clown is really low these days. Back in the old days you had to – oh I don’t know – invade a country under false pretenses to be labeled a clown.
January 22nd, 2009 at 10:56 am
I don’t think it was Turbo Tax, is joke, I laugh?
The actual series of events makes him much more clownish, but then you don’t know nearly anything about it.

Well go set wikipedia straight o clown expert
January 22nd, 2009 at 11:03 am
He used Turbo Tax, he didn’t blame it on a software error. Just that he made some dumb errors. Clownish, just like you Enk.
January 22nd, 2009 at 11:17 am
awwwww touchy aren’t we?
I didn’t use the term “software error”
you did
and you ARE the expert

I don’t have a problem with him employing an illegal housekeeper just like I had no problem with Chavez and her housekeeper, Linda is an incredibly intelligent person who was Borked for no reason just as Bork was but you guys have been the holders of pious morality for almost a decade now, I thought maybe this one slipped under your radar.
I had to get just one in, I won’t make it a habit of pointing out hypocrisies.
But kudos to the Governor of our next door neighboring state for putting up a fight over putting the Gitmo prisoners in Leavenworth. I liked Dennis Miller last night saying maybe Bill Ayers would like to adopt a couple, surely he has an extra bedroom or two, then they could all gather in the living room yelling power to the people as Miller pumped his fist in the air, it was great.

sorry shcb, it doesn’t even warrant a blip on the radar – except to note Ron Paul’s warnings and portents about the Federal Reserve, and as such Geithner is a perfect choice.
Wow, what a wwnj double standard coming to light here, and a new low in hypocrisy… mention Cheney’s lying about not being connected to KBR and profiting in the $millions from the war he promoted, and the response is a poo pooing.
Then the wwnj’s expect indignation for delaying a tax liability resolution.
The indignation bar has been set at record levels by the past administration and unfortunately it is hard to get excited about housekeeper visa issues or delayed tax payments when we are still sorting out past administration’s war crimes, torture memos, and recall Rumsfeld announcing on September 10, 2001 that $2.5 Trillion was missing from Pentagon accounts.
Interesting wiki article, it ends with this explanation about Turbo tax shortcomings:

I’m beginning to like Obama, first he brow beats an asshole reporter. Come on guys, here is a guy, he just took over the toughest job on the face of the planet, he’s moving his family into a new house, he is being pulled and pushed in every direction and he take a few minutes out of the busiest itinerary on earth to go downstairs and meet the third stringers, the pool reporters that hang out in the White House in case something happens. There are no anchors here, just guys working their shift. The president of the United States walks in to introduce himself and engage in some pleasantries and there has to be one jerk that has to ask a question that could have waited until the next press conference. I’m glad the president put him in his place, I don’t like his or his party’s policies, but he has my respect in this particular case.
And then there is this
The moral here is if you want to be on the right side, if you want to be loved by the Democrats and the dominant liberal media, just vote and talk and act like us. Don’t listen to people we don’t like, give up your core values and then we can all get along and all be bipartisan. I’ve said the same thing on these pages when people have said they dislike my partisanship, just start voting Republican and we can all get along.
This is the rest of the article
Thank you Mr. President, now we have that out of the way, Democrats won, they own it all, there will be no bipartisan effort, there will be no shared chairmanships like in the Gingrich House or allowing the party out of power to write important pieces of legislation like Bush did with Ted Kennedy, nope, this is Chicago politics where winning isn’t the only thing it is everything. Oh sure if the Republicans chirp enough the mother sparrow will spit a regurgitated worm in their mouths, but that is it.
Need more? From “The job impact of the American recovery and reinvestment plan”
That’s it, that is the extent of “if someone comes up with a better idea I’ll listen” out of 14 pages that is all the input of conservative nature there is in his plan. The rest is just plain old liberal tax and spend. The entire basis of the plan? A 1% of GDP rise in government spending equals a million jobs, that’s all, no analyzing possible negative effects on inflation, nothing, just government spending equals jobs. Did you notice how all the construction in his plan are for government buildings and projects? Why is that Rick? Well, because then government can mandate union labor be used on those projects, the coalition will be served.

And then we have the Jack Bauer clause “we won’t use any interrogation techniques other than the Army field manual… but just in case the CIA really needs to…”
This executive order isn’t in the national archives yet so it doesn’t have a number yet, at least not on the internet. This is cut from the White House web site.

Limp Dimbulb openly advocates that he wants Obama to fail at fixing the economy, foreign policy and other bush-era disasters.
Thuggles everywhere now want America to fail? Can you imagine if anyone left of the neocon war machine ever advocated that they wanted bush to fail after 9/11? Or in Afghanistan? Warning that Iraq was going to be a disaster from the get go isn’t the same thing: saying ‘hey don’t do this!’ isn’t the same as ‘we hope you fail!’ And please remember that we went in for the imaginary WMDs. Epic fail.
Listen to all the hate radio you want, but it poisons the mind as surely as hemlock poisons the body.
So you are sad we don’t torture as a matter of course? Surely some expert can jump in here and tell us if the Army field manual conforms to the Geneva Conventions? I would guess it does. Asking for a review of interrogation techniques isn’t all about thumbscrews or waterboarding. Torture doesn’t work, despite what Jack Bauer says.
