Picked up by sweeping with binoculars in Cas. Fairly obvious as an irregular fuzzy patch halfway between Gamma Cas and Chi Cas. Appeared roughly crescent-shaped, with the opening in the direction of Chi. With averted vision a few (3? 4?) brighter members resolved into stars.
