Driving to Mammoth
Sunday, June 29th, 2014We’re driving to Mammoth Lakes today. From Carp it involves taking the 101 south, then the 126 east to the 5 at Magic Mountain, then north on the 5, a jog east through the Antelope Valley (poppies, maybe? but with the ongoing drought probably not) to the 14, north to Mojave and the turn onto 395, and then the amazing trip up the Owens Valley past all that nonexistent stolen water and jaw-dropping geology.
I intend to liveblog, at least during the parts when I’m not driving. I’ll try to remember to tag “#road to mammoth” for savioring by the uninterested.
