Tuesday, June 2nd, 2015I loved this so much. I’m sure Yulin will be posting it “officially” soon, and I’ll reblog it then. But something about the layers of self-revelation and honesty, the direct addressing of the difficult gray area that people like Yulin and Mary Kate occupy as creators, even while not being direct at all, because obv., it’s about a cat, worked really well.
A metaphor can be truthful in a way that direct representation sometimes struggles to be. It’s a collaborative performance, with the listener an active participant. It feels intimate, like a shared secret.
