I knew she was from Oklahoma, but didn’t know that her first feature credit was in Sterlin Harjo’s 2009 film Barking Water. Glad to see her getting a chance to work with him again.
Of the original four, I guess the only one I don’t think I’ve seen in anything else post-LBD is Ashley. Which seems kind of surprising, given how awesome she was. Though maybe it’s in part a reflection of lag times, and the fact that she was pretty much booked solid for a year, where the other actresses had time to do other work in the meantime that might just now be coming to fruition?
Or maybe she took a well-deserved break after LBD. Or maybe she’s pursuing other goals besides appearing randomly on my TV. Or maybe the universe is cruel and unfair. Or maybe… something else. I dunno.
