Working in a pet store is so weird, like you end up invested in these people’s pet’s lives and they somehow learn about your life little bits at a time and then one day they’re asking you to babysit their Guinea pig because their kid might be allergic and the allergy test isn’t until next week and you’re the only person they trust.

Tags: love, I'm not sure why I feel compelled to reblog this, but the compulsion is real, the fact is, I also think of alix as the sort of person I would trust, and it has been the result of a long chain of small interactions, and now I wonder, if that's really exactly what online tumblr friendships are, a long chain of casual interactions, within a context subtly overlaid with openness, and vulnerability, deriving from the fact that these brief, and outwardly mundane interactions, so often relate to objects of our foolish, and not quite societally validated, for you a guinea pig, for me a musical or film or painting, if I share my feelings about something like that, and you receive them and accept them, and don't make me feel stupid to feel that way, it's hard for me not to come to trust you, and feel close to you, I'm sorry if it's weird.
