I love these flowers, does anyone know the species?
I’m not a plant expert, but these look a lot like mariposa lily or sego lily, Calochortus nuttallii, the state flower of Utah. I see them in the eastern Sierra sometimes, and always have to stop and admire them, because seriously; just look at those things. They’re ridiculous.
