msknope:

How did you know when you were in love with your husband?
I remember calling my sisters and telling them about Paul and I couldn’t – I remember feeling like,
“I can’t stop talking about him,” like I was talking about him all the time. But I wasn’t aware,

really,

of how I was feeling yet. I just knew I was like,

compulsively talking about this guy. One of my sisters was like, “Who is this person?” But yeah. I don’t know if it was a definitive moment. It was just so easy. There was nothing hard about it.

That’s the thing about falling in love,

too. Sometimes one person falls really hard,

like I felt like [Paul] fell really hard earlier. You fell really hard and I was like, “Whoa. He’s really going there.” And I felt it too,

but I wasn’t quite ready to vocalize it. And then like 6 months later,

I was PANICKED in love. Like,

panicked and fraught with “I can’t even deal with these feelings.” But he had already been like “We’re together and that’s great! There are no problems here.” That’s our love story.

That’s beautiful.
[Laughs] Is it? No,

it is beautiful. I love it. I do. (x)

Kellyanne Conway invents fake terrorist attack “Bowling Green Massacre”

  • In a Thursday night interview with MSNBC’s Chris Matthews, Kellyanne Conway defended Trump’s travel ban with what she would call “alternative facts” — the rest of us would call them lies.
  • Trump’s top adviser spoke of the “Bowling Green Massacre,” which she said was carried out by two Iraqi refugees.
  • She slammed the press for not covering the tragedy, which is why, Conway maintained, most people don’t know about it.
  • However, as the Washington Post notes, such a terrorist attack never occurred in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
  • Conway seemed to be referring to the 2011 arrest of two Iraqi citizens living in Bowling Green who were charged with attempting to send money and weapons to al-Qaida. Read more

People have been asking why I am not posting this week, so I’m writing this to explain why I won’t be posting Chris Evans images anymore.

This is an opinion. The views expressed on this post are mine alone. I don’t expect anything to happen. Please make your own opinions. I’m not writing this to convince anyone of anything- I’m simply trying to explain why I’ve had a change of heart.

Please keep in mind that as fans, it’s our job and right to give love, to celebrities of our choice based on how they represent themselves and what we see from afar. That’s how they become popular.

Oye, here we go.

This morning while I was getting ready I was watching Sesame Street.

They were doing this bit where some clown was trying to wash his hands but kept washing his feet or his elbows and Elmo would go, “no mister noodle, your HANDS!” and all the tv kids would laugh.

Around the fourth or fifth time he couldn’t find his hands, I heard a grown man yell from somewhere else in the motel, “GODDAMMIT, MR. NOODLE.”

“Not everyone can spend time in the alps, but everyone can learn the names of the trees in a nearby park. Can you identify the birds calling in your backyard? Do you know the difference between a moth and a butterfly, or between a worm and a grub? Take the time to engage with both the little and big things growing around you and discover the joy of re-connecting with nature.”

Identification of animals and plants is an essential skill set

(Never forget the Portland Bill)

Three years ago today I (and the rest of Pelican’s transat crew) was engaged in a desperate struggle to get the ship around the ‘bill’. Wind and tide were hellish – we kept trying to get into position to get around there before the 5-6 knots tide turned and we kept not making it. The while line in the image represents 2 full days. This was at the end of a very heavy 2-month transatlantic voyage. I remember being on the edge of tears (and sometimes over it) for a good part of the time.

The final turn to right and the actual rounding of the bill had me on the helm. It was 3 AM, the generator was broken, we had no light, no heat, no flushing heads and no TEA, it was basically our last chance to get in under our own power before we’d have to call for a tow. And we finally made it in.

Shipwrecked Comedy are making a new webseries! Edgar Allen Poe is hosting a Murder Mystery Party to win over Annabelle Lee! If that’s the sort of thing you want to see, check out their Kickstarter here.

I may have only realised after I was too far in that household electricity is a little anachronistic. But given that Hemingway and Christie are coming to the party, I think I get a pass.
