(I guess signal boosting this is an upside to being subjected to the weather channel while living utterly landlocked.)

Tags: it is going to be more awful than I can imagine, than anyone can imagine, I said on that other platform, that there will be the florida we knew from before this weekend, and the florida we know after, and not just florida, harvey + irma + whatever comes next, and having it all happen at a time, when we're bereft of capable leadership, this is what a societal inflection point, looks like from inside, I realize this is a us-centric point of view, lots of places have been and are struggling, lots of places have seen catastrophe and loss and societal erosion, we're going to need to help each other, we're going to need to adapt to the new reality, it's going to be a long way down, and I can't see the bottom, but we'll deal with it, some of us will survive, and build the best future we can, for those who come after.
