I’m trying to figure out if there’s any way I can do this. Unfortunately I live a couple of hours away, have a docent tour at 10 the next morning, and am not as good at shrugging off sleep deprivation as I used to be. But I’m thinking about it…
I don’t know if you’ve actually seen this episode, but Pam invites the entire office to her art show that she’s been gearing up for for a really long time. Nobody shows up except for Oscar and his partner (and they critique her work, calling her “lacking in courage” among other things, not realizing she is standing right behind them) and then Michael. And Michael is the only one who tells her she is great just for putting herself out there, and the only one who places value on what she’s done, and he points out all the little details she got right and notices absolutely every bit of hard work she put into it. And then treats Pam like the artist she is by not just paying her for her art, but displaying it where literally everyone can see it.
Super duper shoutout to Emma for being so wonderful and keeping our secret. She is awesome and I’m so happy to have her in our cast. She’s had to remain absolutely silent about her involvement for so long!
We export our rough cuts in black & white because the footage isn’t color-corrected yet, and slight lighting differences from day to day would distract the eye with all the jump cuts we have. The final show will be color-corrected so every shot matches, but until then, we’re enjoying the classic look!
The final version will also have a small amount of fake interlacing / video artifacts, to reflect the fact that it’s being transmitted from a tenth of a lightyear away. (But not as many video artifacts as Science Marches Han!)

Hey Californians, did you know that we’re voting on the death penalty in this election? (I didn’t realize it was on the ballot until I sat down and actually read all the measures, so I thought I’d mention it here.) Not only that, but we’re voting on it twice with Prop 62 and Prop 66 but each Measure does something drastically different!
PROP 62 – DEATH PENALTY. INITIATIVE STATUTE. – Repeals the death penalty in California – Changes death penalty sentences into life imprisonment without possibility of parole sentences – Applies retroactively to existing death sentences (I’m voting YES on 62 because I think the death penalty is wrong and expensive.)
PROP 66 – DEATH PENALTY. PROCEDURES. INITIATIVE STATUTE. – Limits petitions for people with death penalty sentences (petitions = appeals) – Gives prison officials more freedom to develop execution methods – Basically, makes it easier to kill prisoners faster (I’m voting NO on 66 because I think death penalty is wrong and expensive and lots of people have been exonerated from death row because of new evidence discovered during appeals.)
There are a lot of other important measures to vote on this year too – give yourself plenty of time to read thru everything!
