Tags: it's a tie, both from when I was a teen, once I was burning the freshly cut end, of a piece of 1/4-inch dacron line, which is a thing you do on a boat, to prevent the end fraying and unraveling, when you're too lazy to do a proper whipping, and I did this sitting in the cabin, in shorts, and watched as a big drop of molten dacron, dropped onto my bare thigh, I still have that scar, also still have the scar near my right knee, that one day at track practice, when we were goofing around, and decided to try to do a standing high jump, b/c I'd read it was an event, in the first modern olympics, and I spiked myself with my track shoes.
