As an illustrator who has no serious plans to become an author-illustrator, I’ve gotta be able to take a text that someone else has written and illustrate it.
So I’ve been taking other people’s stories and reimagining the illustrations. This is something I’ve had recommended to me by a few people as a way to improve my portfolio and it’s also really useful as a learning tool.
