Flight home.
Our eastern most tower site (JP213), just inside the Saskatchewan border, is always the most difficult to access. The fog settles in and sits for days and days. On a few occasions we’ve made the half hour flight in to find a blanket of fog too thick to see through… forcing us to turn back and try for another day.
This month we got lucky on our second day. The skies cleared for a few hours in the morning and we got in and out with little difficulty (a bit of cloud dodging, but nothing major). The forest looked amazing – frost covered and silent.
