I’ve been complaining about April Fool’s on the web for pretty much the entire existence for the web. It’s so trivial to make fake (anything) online that the making of fake (anything) loses 99% of the humor/coolness/wow-factor that is the only redeeming feature of an elaborate April Fool’s prank.
It’s already a burden trying to separate truth from droll bullshit online. On April 1 it becomes an annoyingly huge burden. I tend to just take the day off and go do things IRL until the spasm of mass wankery has passed.
