I love living in a major city, but damn, I miss being exposed to the dark sky sites as a kid. It kills me how little of our universe I can see in Philly; every major astrological event I miss. I believe all those freezing summer night watching the celestial rotation and observing my insignificance forged a fundamental aspect of my psyche which my kid will never have.
