Note to self
When agonizing over a small piece of a larger work, when one choice seems wrong in one way, and another choice seems wrong in another, and there’s something there that I don’t want to lose but I just can’t seem to get it right..
Take it out. Just delete it. The echo will remain, like lucky special magical homeopathic truth. The audience will fill it in on their end, and when they do it will be perfect.
