I’ve been meaning to ask you something for a while… what would you consider the fundamentals of a writer? What kind of things would make someone want to keep writing?
This is kind of a peculiar question for me to answer, as I’m unfortunately one of those people who has always written (practically since I first was taught how to use a pen), and ever since have had to really work to understand the kind of inner life that doesn’t involve writing — writing something, anything — as an innate part of it.
