Hi, BTS-wise I wonder if you could do a livestream after the episodes are out, so we can ask you and the actors stuff live? or kind of what you did with tea time… we can ask and then you can do a Q&A vid. I just personally feel that I will have production questions once I watch the episodes. Also, I liked the rain set-up post can you do a post or vid about steps to film? kind of the process from writing to live. Squaresville S1 did one in which they informally explain the steps to make an ep.+

Hiya,

Thanks for the questions! We can certainly look into doing a livestream once the series is released, if that’s a thing that’s of interest. And sineadpersaud and I would be happy to do another tea time Q&A down the line for sure! There might be wine in our teacups next time, fair warning.

And I’d be more than happy to do a Tumblr post about the steps to making an episode of Kissing in the Rain in the nearish future, though a video might have to wait until after the series run for spoilery reasons. I’ll have to do some digging first and find more fun artifacts like my first text to Sinead about KitR.

Our production process kind of varies depending upon the scale of the project, so Kissing in the Rain was very different from A Tell Tale Vlog, which was in turn very different from Emily Dickinson and I Didn’t Write This. The general rule I adhere to in my online work is to hold myself to the same standards I have as an independent filmmaker, which applies across the board from conception to post-production. So everything roughly follows the steps I take to making a short film, just some steps are expanded or condensed depending upon the scale of the project.

Keep a look out for a more detailed post mapping out the production process in the next couple days, and thanks for watching and commenting!

Much love,

Yulin
