So, this was from a discussion that started from this image reblogged by the awesome @matterofawesome:
…and led thence to anonsally talking about a pair of dice with googly eyes affixed to them in the appropriate configuration to correspond to the dots, which led us to compare notes on the likely effect this would have on the distribution of the resulting die rolls.
Note, though, that at no point in this discussion did I make the connection to the fact that the Common Potoo (Nyctibius griseus), a bird that was at that very moment making an appearance in our dashes, has evolved actual biological googly eyes:
I felt it was important to mention these things.
