Here’s a teaser pic from Lenore’s Draw My Life episode for all you lovely patient shipsters! Sorry for our tech delays, the latest episode of A Tell Tale Vlog will be out by 7pm PT tonight. In the meantime, feel free to rewatch Edgar’s attempt at a Draw My Life.

There’s the imagining and wanting the thing. And there’s the thing. And there’s the having had the thing, and reflecting on it and posting overlong meta about it and reading the overlong meta and shared squee from your internet friends, people you never expected would be part of your life but somehow became that.

Of those three (the imagining beforehand, the actual experience, and the postmortem), I’m not sure which is the best. It seems to vary from thing to thing. Like, there are movies where the trailer is so awesome I can’t imagine how wonderful the film will be, and I spend weeks looking forward to it, only to be disappointed. Or there are things I don’t even know are coming, and maybe don’t even appreciate when I see them, but over time, after reading others’ analysis and maybe going back to re-watch, I come to really cherish.

One of the cool things for me about ATTV has been how good it has been in each phase. The anticipation (like now, waiting for Lenore’s Draw My Life at 7 p.m.) has been great (well, to the extent I’ve had that experience, seeing as I only found out about the show near the end). And then the initial viewing has been great. And then the post-viewing meta and re-watching has been great.

It’s undifferentiated goodness from end to end.
